Hamdi Qorri

Hamdi Qorri is an architect and urban planner. He graduated in 1985 with a degree in Architecture from the University of Prishtina. His broad architectural portfolio includes work of different scales and typologies, such as residential housing, sports and recreation centres, Urban and Municipal Development Plans and Local development strategies. Hamdi Qorri started his professional career from 1985-1988 as Head of the Department for Urbanism of the Municipality of Drenas. He served until 1990 as Chairman of the Municipal Assembly in Drenas.

Hamdi Qorri worked from 2000 – 2005 as the Director of the Directorate for Urbanism and Environmental Protection at the Municipality of Drenas. In 2000, Hamdi Qorri founded the office “Inxhiniering” in Drenas. As an architect, his portfolio includes numerous completed residential buildings, cultural buildings, recreation centers as well as participation in various competitions, such as his contribution to the competition for the Dr. Ibrahim Rugova Opera and Ballet House in Prishtina. 

Hamdi Qorri completed in 2017 his dissertation on “Urban sprawl as a phenomenon in a transitional context – causes, consequences and their impact in spatial planning” at the University of Sarajevo.
